Did you know?
There are a lot of different hiking trails on the Adlisberg to be discovered. Here are four of our favorite hikes for our small and big guests:
Up & Up
Trainstation Stettbach – Restaurant Adlisberg
3.5 km / 47 minutes
Starting point of this trail is in Stettbach, a former hamlet on the lower slopes of the Zurich mountain and today’s intersection for public transport.
The route takes you directly through the trainstation Stettbach in direction of the zoo. Soon you will be going upwards through a beautiful forest up to a clearing just below the zoo. After passing the zoo you have managed to master the steepest slope and then can then continue with ease until you reach the Adlisberg.
For the whole family
Burgwies - Elefantenbach - Restaurant
4.9 km / ca. 70 minutes
This hike takes your from the tram station Burgwies (ZH) along the Stöckenbach through a ravine. In the middle of the riverbed you will find the legendary concrete elephant „Dschumbo“, who is loved by all the children. They can ride on him or stand under his trunk where he squirts out water. Tipp: take your bathing clothes in summer!
Passing the sunny hillside
Rigiblick - Zoo - Restaurant
3.6km / ca. 48 minutes
Everyone will have fun on this family-friendly walk: the children with the steep cable car ride and the grown-ups with the fantastic view.
From the mountain station „Rigiblick“ you can walk on the Orelli path along the sunny outskirts of the forrest and pass the gardens by the Susen mountain in direction zoo. If you desire you can continue the hike after a hearty meal at the Adlisberg towards the Loorenkopf or Elefantenbach.
A great view!
Dolder - Loorenkopf Tower - Restaurant
3.5 km / ca. 47 minutes
This route will take you from the mountain station Dolder to the Loorenkopf. When you have reached the Loorenkopf, you can the climb up the 30 meter high tower to get the best view! The mountains from the centre of Switzerland and the Bernese Alps seem to be in reach from up here.
